BASIC FUNCTION

Under the district of the Executive Director for Student Services, Pupil Services Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of Kids First Programs. Supervise site specialists, site leads, staff activities, and students. Responsible for evaluating programs and staff, record keeping, purchasing supplies, and facilitating the billing process in collaboration with the Accounting Technician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruits students for program and monitors student attendance at all assigned sites
  • Participates in the recruitment, hiring, scheduling and training of program staff and tutors at all assigned sites
  • Monitors staff attendance and evaluates staff at all assigned sites
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of students in the program; plans, schedules, and monitors activities for students at all assigned sites
  • Communicates regularly with parents and serves as a liaison between parents, specialists, leads, and school staff
  • Handles parent complaints
  • Ensures that needed supplies are in place at all assigned sites and coordinates with Food Services for the daily snacks at all assigned sites
  • Manages accounts receivable in collaboration with the accounting technician for all assigned sites
  • Submits purchase orders as needed.

  • Coordinate and manage Kids First programs.

  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations.

  • Interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Operate a computer and assigned software.
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Meet schedules and time lines.
  • Work independently with little direction.
  • Plan and organize work.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain consistent, punctual and regular attendance.
  • Hear and speak to exchange information and make presentations.
  • Move hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
  • See to read a variety of materials.
  • Sit for extended periods of time.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least two years experience in a leadership position working with children. Course work in Child Development desirable.

Management Salary Range 37
