Program Manager Specialist

Job Description
Primary Function:  To provide for the management of the educational program in the program manager’s area of responsibility.

Organizational Relationships: Directly responsible to the principal or other designated administrator. Directly responsible for the supervision of students or staff members in the program manager’s area of responsibility.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of services
    Will provide leadership in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the school or other job related plan.
  2. Communication
    Will communicate with students, parents, administrators, and staff members in a manner which is consistent with district and school expectations.
  3. Management
    Will employ planning, record-keeping, resource management, and learning environment management practices which are consistent with district and school expectations, and which maximize the program manager’s effectiveness.
  4. Student supervision and welfare
    Will provide for student supervision which ensures student safety consistent with district and school expectations.
  5. Professional responsibilities
    Will assume professional responsibilities in a manner which meets district and school expectations and ensures continued personal and professional growth. Will provide leadership in staff development activities.
  6. Goals and objectives
    Will implement district goals and objectives for the program managers/specialists as modified in the individual’s planning conference.
  7. Other duties
    Will perform other duties as assigned.
