Dear NHUSD Families,
Welcome Back!
I visited all of our school sites this week, and the feeling in our schools is fantastic: our students are happy to be back and our staff members are doing a great job of welcoming them into our classrooms. While we still have COVID exposure procedures in place, we are able to spend more of our time doing normal beginning of the year tasks and activities.
An important part of our start of school procedures is making adjustments to schedules and staffing. While we do our best to confirm the enrollment of our students prior to the start of the school year, we always have new students show up and students we thought were returning leave. Accordingly, we must balance our classes and make staffing adjustments, which takes place during the first weeks of school. We do our best to minimize the impact of these changes on our students, families, and staff. We understand that for those impacted by these adjustments, it can be a little unsettling. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to responsibly balance our classes.

Estimadas familias de NHUSD,
¡Bienvenidos otra vez!
He visitado todas nuestras escuelas esta semana y el sentimiento en nuestras escuelas es fantástico: nuestros estudiantes están contentos de estar de regreso y nuestros miembros del personal están haciendo un gran trabajo para darles la bienvenida a nuestros salones. Aunque todavía tenemos establecidos los procedimientos de exposición al COVID, podemos dedicar más tiempo a las tareas y actividades normales de principios de año.
Una parte importante de nuestros procedimientos de principios de año es hacer ajustes en los horarios y en el personal. Aunque hacemos todo lo posible por confirmar las inscripciones de nuestros alumnos antes del inicio del año escolar, siempre aparecen alumnos nuevos y se van alumnos que creíamos que iban a regresar. En consecuencia, debemos equilibrar nuestras clases y realizar ajustes de personal, lo cual sucede durante las primeras semanas de clase. Hacemos todo lo posible por minimizar el impacto de estos cambios en nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal. Entendemos que para aquellos afectados por estos ajustes, puede ser un poco inquietante. Gracias por su paciencia y comprensión mientras trabajamos para equilibrar responsablemente nuestras clases.
