Community Information Meeting for Revisions to NHUSD Trustee Area Boundaries, Mar. 29, 6 PM

The New Haven Unified School District is revising its trustee area boundaries based on the 2020 Census. As a result of population changes within our district and among the trustee areas, the District must make minor revisions to these trustee area boundaries. All schools will remain in their current areas and the trustees representing each area will not change.

In order to share information on this topic and solicit community input, New Haven Unified is hosting a Community Information Meeting. Community members will be able to participate in person or online using Zoom. Here are the specifics:

Where: Educational Services Center, 34200 Alvarado Niles Road, Union City

When: Tuesday, March 29, 2022

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Online Option: Click here to register for the Zoom meeting.

Feedback from the Community Information Meeting will be gathered and shared with the NHUSD Board of Trustees at a special board meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. During the meeting on April 12, the Board will review map options, consider community feedback, and hold a public hearing for additional community input. They may also take action at this meeting to approve recommendations to revised trustee areas that will be sent to the Alameda County Committee on School District Organization.

Translation services for the Community Information Meeting on March 29 and the public hearing on April 12 will be available in Spanish, Mandarin, and Tagalog.
