"Give Special Kids a Smile" Event ~Saturday, February 8th at 9:00AM

The Southern Alameda County Dental Society is hosting a "Give Special Kids a Smile" event on Saturday, February 8th, between 9:00am – 1:30pm, at UC Dental Care Center 1203 J St., Union City. Volunteers will offer free dental screenings for children and adults with physical and/or mild cognitive disabilities.  Each patient will receive a dental screening, cleaning, an oral health kit with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and other goodies, and potential treatment of their most critical dental needs. There is no insurance required or requested. You may register online or by phone (510) 782-5316. Please see flyer for additional information.

Adult Transition Education Program

For students who are 18-22 and on a Certificate of Completion track, the district operates a Community Based Instruction program, Adult Transition and Education Program (ATEP). This program is a blend of individual IEP goals, community outings and instruction, and job placement and coaching.
