Transfers

Intra-District Transfer:  Families who live WITHIN the New Haven boundaries need to enroll into their home schools FIRST.

•After being accepted into their home school, they can then apply to transfer to a different New Haven school by submitting an intra-district transfer request to the Centralized Enrollment Center.

•The deadline for intra-district transfer application submission is March 25, 2022.  Late applications will be accepted, reviewed during the summer, and approved based on space availability.
•Download this Intra-District Transfer Request and submit it to the Centralized Enrollment Center.

Inter-District Transfer:  Families who live OUTSIDE the New Haven boundaries need to:

•Download  and complete this Inter-District Transfer Agreement.  Submit the Inter-District Transfer Agreement for approval to your child's home district's enrollment department.  (NOTE:  Per agreement between Alameda County Districts, transfers will not be processed until March 1 of each year)

•Apply for enrollment into New Haven using SchoolMint online enrollment.  Complete the enrollment process for "Transferring into New Haven (Non-Resident)".

•Families will be allowed to complete the enrollment process, however, official enrollment will be dependent on the approval from the student's home district.

•If a student is permitted to complete the enrollment process while waiting for their inter-district transfer agreement approval, a seat at the they site they were approved for will be held.
