As a result of recent legislation by the State of California and as a result of COVID-19, school districts in California are mandated to create a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP) for the 2020-21 school year. This is in lieu of creating a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
As a part of the creation of the LCP, we have engaged with a variety of stakeholders in order to solicit input and feedback. This plan reflects input from the New Haven Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), the New Haven Teachers' Association (NHTA), the Classified School Employees Association (CSEA), the New Haven Administrators' Association (NHAA) and the District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC). In addition, a draft version of this plan was submitted to the Alameda County Office of Education for their review. ACOE provided us with technical assistance and feedback to ensure that our plan meets the legal mandates of the State of California.
The Board held a public hearing on September 15, 2020 where the public was invited to provide additional feedback, ask questions, or request additional information. On September 29, 2020 the Board approved of the 2020-21 Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan.
