The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Under the LCFF all school districts are required to prepare an LCAP, which describes how they intend to meet annual goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address identified state and local priorities.
The Public Hearing for the 2019-20 LCAP was held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
The 2019-20 LCAP was approved by the Board of Education on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
As a requirement of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), districts must form an Advisory Committee. In New Haven Unified, the committee is called the Guiding Coalition / LCAP Advisory Committee. As stakeholders, the Guiding Coalition / LCAP Advisory Committee's responsibility is to advise and give input into the district's LCAP regarding priorities and resources based on the LCFF.
