37th Annual James Logan Invitational Band Tournament on Saturday November 11th
Almost 30 schools from across Northern and Central California will be performing at the Logan stadium on Saturday, November 11th.  Come out and support the Logan Band and Colorguard!  

Competition starts at 1:56 pm, Logan performs at 9:15 pm. TICKETS are $15 for adults, $12 for kids and seniors.

Come Support Logan’s ICL Program with Pizza and Fun, Thursday, November 9

Join Logan's ICL Program at John's Incredible Pizza at Newpark Mall for a night of fun and pizza on Thursday, November 9th!  ICL is planning college field trips in the Spring, and 15% of sales made at the cashier's counter will go to ICL when purchases are accompanied by a flyer.

13th Annual Holiday Toy Drive and Car Meet, Sunday, November 10

The New Haven Teachers Association, Alameda County Fire District and the Union City Police Officer’s Association are proud to present the 13th Annual Holiday Toy Drive and Car Meet on Sunday, November 10, from 11:00 am through 3:00 pm at James Logan High School.  Admission to the event and car space are free.  Visitors are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

Logan Girls Volleyball Look to Continue NCS Run, Wednesday, November 8

The James Logan High School Girls Volleyball Team looks to build on their 3-0 defeat of Castro Valley High School this past weekend as they take on the California High School Grizzlies tomorrow,  Wednesday, November 8, beginning at 7:00 pm in the Pavilion.  Tickets can be purchased online here or at the door.

November is Sikh Awareness and Appreciation Month
The State of California and City of Union City recognize November as Sikh American Awareness and Appreciation Month. Since the 1890s Sikh pioneers have made significant contributions to California in Farming, Technology, Transportation, Entrepreneurship, Democracy, Community and Social Issues and many more. This month affords all Californians the opportunity to understand, recognize, and appreciate the rich history and shared principles of democracy, equality, and service to humanity by Sikh Americans.

Logan Link Crew To Host Fall Festival, November 30th from 5-7 pm.

The James Logan High School Link Crew will host a Fall Festival on Thursday, November 30, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  There will be food trucks and free festival games to play!  The entire community is welcome.

Union City Kids' Zone
Holiday Totes ~ Union City Kids' Zone would like to invite you to partner with us in collecting much needed goodies for the “Holiday Tote” giveaway.  We will continue to focus on our NHUSD families who are displaced or in much need of a cheerful boost this holiday season.


Last year, together with many of our amazing partners, we were able to provide over 457 NHUSD families with a basket filled with basic toiletries, board games, books, and food.  We are hopeful that pulling together we can serve as many or more this year. With this said, we are reaching out to you all to come together with us and donate towards this amazing event.


Donation items needed: Shampoo/Conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, deodorant, microwave popcorn, hot cocoa mix, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, board games (cards, dominoes, etc…). Donations can be dropped off at the Union City Kids' Zone office located at 725 Whipple Road, Union City, CA from November 1-30, 2017 during business hours (M-F 8:30 am - 4:30 pm).


New Pantry Hours ~ Union City Kids' Zone Resource Center houses a Food & Clothing Pantry available to any student, family and community member. NEW pantry hours are Mondays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and Thursdays from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm or by appointment (510) 476-2770.


ZONE After School Program is currently accepting student applications for the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant funded sites (Searles Elementary School, Guy Emanuele Elementary School, and Cesar Chavez Middle School).  Please see the ZONE Program Specialist at the respective sites for an application and/or additional information:
