Decoto School for Independent Study Receives Positive WASC Report

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) has the responsibility to evaluate and review learning institutions to ensure that the educational programs at these sites meet rigorous academic standards.  A positive WASC certification means that the school “has clearly defined objectives appropriate to education; has established conditions under which their achievement can reasonably be expected; appears in fact to be accomplishing them substantially; is so organized, staffed, and supported that it can be expected to continue to do so; and demonstrates that it meets ACS WASC’s criteria and accreditation standards.”  from the WASC website.

The Decoto School for Independent Study (DSIS) began its WASC accreditation in March of 2016 and recently had their mid-point check in.  We are proud to report that DSIS continues to meet the rigorous criteria for accreditation as of this mid-point review and is on pace to have another positive review in 2022.  To read the WASC report for DSIS, please click here.
